Food Experience

Today was a trip to the shops, to go to the chemist, the library, buy some postcards, write & post them, so that people remember me. I then, just had to go back to one of the Charity Shops to purchase this lovely long coat that I had my eye on the other day. It was still there and now it's mine & I'm going to need it!

It was time for lunch and I was headed for The Galley, but there was no parking there again, so I came across the Coach & Horses & chose a starter of sliced haloumi with chilli jam. They did have a beautiful sounding mushroom dish, which left me craving some mushrooms. Look at the blue sky :)

So off to the  local greengrocer,  walking out later with some beautiful mushrooms,  lovely raspberries, Dutch strawberries & a Cox's apple, to bring back food memories from my childhood.

I was driving past The Galley & there was a parking spot, so off I went to #3 of 84 places to eat in Woodbridge, on Trip Advisor.

What an amazing little place The Galley is, with a beautiful menu & fantastic service.

Here's an example of what caught my eye :)

I chose the 'Local Duck Liver Pate with Home-made Chutney & Toasted Brioche' ... mmmmm.
It was absolutely beautiful!

I think I'm going to have to go back again and try the
'Poached Pear with Pecorino Cheese Drizzled with Fig Syrup' .... mmmmm

They had some beautiful postcards there, to advertise upcoming events. This one is to 'experience the unique Lebanese wines of Chateau Musar'. I wish I could go ... 8 wines & 4 courses!

Then it was off for my first big supermarket shop, but couldn't help sharing some of my favourite things & some things I've never seen before. OK I bought a few naughty things, but not the Mars milk ... never seen it before. The toffee yoghurt was interesting as a one off experience, but it just had to be done!

Now time for some beautiful Heinz Tomato Soup (not condensed) ... yay!

On the way into Woodbridge I always pass this hotel, but one day there was something different! They were advertising Steak & Kidney Suet Pudding. So I did a quick 360 & back I went to the gorgeous Wilford Bridge Inn & what a treat !
